PIONEER – PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL

Mosiula Tatupu started making his mark in football while in high school by setting the Hawaii High School Career Rushing Record (3,367 yards) which stood for 17 years. He then went on to college at USC where he lettered for four years.

In 1978 he began a 14-year career in the NFL, playing for the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams.

Tatupu played in Superbowl XX in 1986 and that same year was named to the All Pro NFL and selected as a Special Team player in the Pro Bowl.

Upon retiring from the NFL in 1991 Tatupu held the record for Most Games Played by a running back (199 games).
