Maa Tanuvasa
As a defensive tackle for the Denver Broncos, Maa Tanuvasa helped his team to Super Bowl victories in 1997 and 1998. He also led the Broncos in sacks in 1998 and 1999 with an average of 8.5 per season.
Tanuvasa was an All-Western Athletic Conference lineman and key member of the University of Hawai’i team that won the WAC championship and the Holiday Bowl in 1992.
After three seasons as a standout for UH he went on to play nine seasons of professional football in the NFL.
Following his NFL career, Tanuvasa returned to Hawai’i to serve as an assistant football coach at his alma mater, Mililani High School.
