Jon Stanley
(Born July 1943)
Professional Volleyball Player/Coach
Jon Stanley was a member of the U.S. National Volleyball Team
in 1966 and 1972. He was also a member of the Olympic Volleyball
Teams in the 1968 and 1972 Olympics.
He was named to the United States Volleyall Aasociation All-America
Team seven times.
In 1975 he became the first member from Hawaii's volleyball community
to take on a professional coaching career and in the process was named
IVA Coach of the Year. He was also a member of the World Champion
Los Angeles Stars.
Stanley was inducted into the National and International Volleyball
Hall of Fame in 1992.
