Albert "Quick" Silva

Professional Boxing
At the current age of 91, Mr. Silva has been involved in the sport of
boxing for over 70 years.
Locally and while in the military service, Mr. Silva excelled as a
championship fighter compiling a record of 100 wins and 12 losses.
He held the title of Oahu's welterweight champion and while in the
service, won the Pacific Theater Championship.
Mr. Silva is best known by his community, Waipahu, as one of the founders
of the Police Activities League's (PAL) Boxing Program and as a trainer
of professional boxing World Champions including Brian Viloria and
Hawai'i Sports Hall of Fame inductees Jesus Salud and Andy Ganigan.
