College Volleyball Coach
Dave Shoji has excelled as the women’s head volleyball coach at the University
of Hawai'i where he has guided the program, since 1975, to over 860 wins,
four national championships and recognition as a perennial top 10 ranked NCAA program.
In 30 years, his teams have won 20 games or more 26 times and he has coached 35 All-Americans.

Of all active head volleyball coaches, he has the highest winning percentage in his
thirty-year coaching career, and he has earned numerous “coach of the year” honors
and the prestigious USA Volleyball All-Time Great Coach Award. His dedication to
his players, on and off the court, is an inspiration and a key ingredient to the
development of successful players and a program of national prominence.
