Olympic Medalist - Weightlifting

Harold Sakata was a silver medalist in the light-heavyweight division of weigthlifting at the 1948 Olympics in London.

He was one of four weightlifters from Hawai'i that qualified for the U.S. Olympic team that year.

He cleared 380 kilograms in his medal-winning lift.

Sakata became better known later for his role as "Oddjob" in the James Bond movie "Goldfinger" which led to an acting career that spanned the next three decades and included TV, commercials, documentaries and 12 motion pictures.

He also gained notoriety as a world class professional wrestler under the name Tosh Togo.
