Kotaro "Taro" Miyasato

Kotaro "Taro" Miyasato started competitive bowling in 1938 and went on to exhibit his mastery of the sport for the next thre decades. He was crowned Hawaii Territorial or State Match Game Champion seven times, winning the title in the years 1946, 1947, 1951, 1952, 1953 1956 and 1960.

In 1965 Miyasato gained national recognition when he rolled a sanctioned "300" game during the All-Star Tournament in Philadelphia.

"Taro" has spent a lifetime promoting bowling. He founded numerous bowling tournaments and also acted as the Hawaii Bowling Proprieters Association Youth Bowling Director from 1962 to 1972.
