Stan Harrington was voted "Fighter of the Decade" for the 1960's by the Honolulu Advertiser.
He was unsuccessful at two attempts on the World Junior Middleweight Championship losing in a 15-round decision to Denny Moyer in 1963 and another 15-round decision to Ki Soo Kim in 1966.
