Lynne Boyer
(Born April 20, 1956)
Professional Surfing

Ms. Boyer was known for her aggressive and fearless style of power surfing in big waves. She captured two consecutive World Surfing Championships in 1978 & 1979.

A fierce competitor, she is credited with raising the performance standards in women's surfing in the 1970s and early 1980s.

This past July, Ms. Boyer was inducted into the Huntington Beach Surfing Walk of Fame.

With her induction in Huntington Beach, Ms. Boyer joins two other Hawaii women surfing champions, Margo Oberg and Rell Sunn, who were also inducted there. Oberg and Sunn, are also inductees of the Hawai'i Sports Hall of Fame.
