The Hawai'i Sports Hall of Fame is a nonprofit, educational
partnership with the State of Hawai'i. It is the "state museum
for sports history in the islands," and our purpose is to record
for all time the outstanding accomplishments of Hawai'i's
world-class athletes, with stories, pictures, video clips and in
cyberspace. The Hawai'i Sports Hall of Fame is best described as an
educational repository created to enshrine athletes, pioneers and contributors of
Hawai'i's rich sports history; such a repository of former athletes
encourages our youth to emulate these outstanding men and women for
their devotion, dedication, pursuit of athletic excellence and
steadfast character.
